The day could not have been any better. I woke up bright and early and the first thing I heard was the soothing melody of birds chirping. As I started getting ready for Supercar Sunday, I took a look outside and witnessed the beautiful weather that California is blessed with and known for. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue and the clouds looked like they were straight out of a fairy tale book drawing. Minutes after I was ready, I heard the unmistakable sound of a BMW inline-6 engine approaching my street. I knew my ride was here. I grabbed my camera and stepped out to witness my friend’s newly acquired BMW E36 M3. The timeless design and Avus Blue paint color are a beautiful sight to any car enthusiast; particularly those who partial to the 90s era. This week’s Supercar Sunday was special because we were meeting up with the Real Runners crew before caravanning together to the location. As we approached the caravan location, we were greeted with a plethora of cars ranging from exotics to highly modified sports cars. We even saw a custom rat rod! Once everyone had arrived, we set off on a cruise through the freeway to Supercar Sunday. I can easily say that this was an awesome sight to see. The freeway was full of gorgeous cars with exhaust notes that drowned out our radio but, we didn’t mind that at all. Not one bit.

5 6 7 9 10 11 12Once we got to Supercar Sunday, I was immediately ecstatic and could not wait to start checking out all the cars and taking some photos. The nice thing about Supercar Sunday is that every week holds a new surprise. I have yet to be disappointed by the wide variety of cars that attend this weekly gathering. At Supercar Sunday, you will see cars ranging from classic BMWs to high-end exotics to completely custom cars! I always end up finding a favorite car, this week belonged to a stunning Baltic Blue Toyota Supra MK4. I spent a solid 10 minutes admiring the car and taking photos before I took note of a gentleman wearing a shirt that said Supra and inquired as to whether or not he was the owner. Little to my surprise, he responded with “Yes”. That being said, I complimented the owner on having such a beautiful example of a Toyota Supra and asked him if he would be so kind as to inform me about the car. The gentleman who owned the car, “Sonny”, was very standup and modest. He had no problem opening up his engine bay and sharing the details of his car and how he came to obtain it. It was pleasant and refreshing to have a simple, twenty minute conversation with someone who I had just met who shared the same enthusiasm about cars that I do.

I would like to personally thank everyone who is a part of the Supercar Sunday community and makes it happen every week and to all the attendees who bring out their cars for other enthusiasts to enjoy.
